Nabam Tuki sworn in as Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister

Nabam Tuki was today sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, ending the political impasse over the demand for leadership change in the sensitive border State. He became the first Chief Minister fromNyishi community.
The 47-year-old was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor Gen (retd) JJ Singh at the crowded Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan here after the AICC president Sonia Gandhi nominated him as the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, replacing Jarbom Gamlin.
