In an enthusiastic finale, Sreeganesan chundan (snake-boat) defeated Jawahar Thayankary chundan to emerge victorious at the 113th Kottayam Boat Race held in Thazhathangady here on Saturday(1.9.2012). The winners, rowed by St. Francis Boat Club and captained by Joshy reached the finishing line ahead of the first runners-up only by about an inch. Read more
