PU Chitra of Palakkad has clinched her third gold at the National school meet in Pune, after winning gold in the senior girl’s 3000m long distance event. While MD Thara of Kerala bagged silver in the same event.
Chitra had earlier bagged gold in the senior girl’s 5000m and 1500m long distance events. Kerala has bagged gold in the Senior girl’s 200m event with Nikhila Jose finishing first. This sterling performance has taken Kerala’s gold medal tally to 25.
