Popular Malayalam actor and comedian Machan Varghese died here today at a private hospital following a brief illness, hospital sources said. He was 50. The condition of Varghese became serious a few days ago and he was on ventilation for the last four days, they said. Varghese's last released film was 'Best of Luck'. Machan Varghese started his career as a mimicry artist and debuted as an actor through Kabooliwala. Thereafter he played many notable roles in Malayalam films, mainly as a comedian.His famous movies included Thenkasipattanam,Meesa madhavn,achakuthira,Puthukkottayle Puthumanavalan, Punjabi House, Thilakkam, CID Moosa, Thommanum Makkalum etc.
