Veteran Bollywood writer-filmmaker OP Dutta passed away

Veteran Bollywood writer-director OP Dutta passed away at Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri on 9.2.2012. Filmdirector JP Dutta is his son, he started his career as a director in 1948 with 'Pyaar Ki Jeet'.
He went on to collaborate with Ramanand Sagar, Rajender Singh Bedi, Kaifi Azmi and other stalwarts of the film industry.
He wrote the story and dialogues of all JP Dutta's films, including 'Ghulami', 'Hathyar', 'Border', 'Refugee' and 'Umrao Jaan' which was his last film. He was working on the sequel to JP Dutta's superhit film 'Border'.
