Guinness Book of World Records performance
An artist performs non-stop for 108 hours!!!
Mohiniyattom exponent Kalamandalam Hemalatha break the world record for the longest dance performance by crossing the existing record performed in Mohiniyattam for 108 hours continuously attained by Dr Vattikotta Yadagiri Acharya of Hyderabad in 2008. She reached the Guinness record at 9.32 pm on Saturday(25.09.2010) at the K T Muhammad Smaraka Theatre of the Kerala Nadaka Sangeetha Academy, Thrissur. Her aim is to reach the 120 hour mark by performing Mohiniyattam continuously from September 20 to September 26.
