Vijay Yesudas was born in Chennai into a Malayali family, his father is singer Dr. K. J. Yesudas and his mother being Prabha. He is the second son in the family, having an elder brother named Vinod and a younger one, Vishal. On January 21, 2007, he married his long-time girlfriend Dharshana in Thiruvananthapuram. He has a daughter named Ammeya
