Dilma Rousseff Elected Brazil's First Woman President


Dilma Rousseff has been elected president of Brazil.Following her election the 62-year-old, who has never held elected office, will become the first ever female president of the South American country.She succeeds Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva who has completed two terms in office and remains a popular leader.Rousseff has promised the Brazilian people to work to eliminate the country’s poverty and “honour the trust” of the nation.
