Former Congress leader M.A John passes away

Former Indian National Congress leader MA John passed away. He was found dead at his residence at Kuryanad in Kottayam. He was 72. John entered into politics while he was a student. He is the founding leader of both K.S.U. (Kerala Students Union) and Youth Congress in Kerala. After leaving Congress he founded the new political party Parivarthanavadi Congress. In 1976 he returned to Congress.A few years back he left Congress again along with K Karunakaran who formed Democratic Indira Congress (DIC) and became the party's senior vice president.
