NOBEL PRIZE 2012 -U.S. economists Alvin Roth and Lloyd Shapley won the economics Nobel prize

Lloyd S. Shapley and Alvin E. Roth 
On Monday, two Americans, Alvin E. Roth and Lloyd S. Shapley were awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science for their research on market design and matching theory, which applies to how individuals and companies locate and choose each other in everything from marriage to school choices to jobs to organ donations. Roth, 60, is a professor at Harvard Business School, but currently is a visiting professor at Stanford University. Shapley, 89, is an emeritus professor at the University of Los Angeles , California.
