Journalist and CPI (M) state committee member IV Das passed away at a private hospital here on Saturday morning. He was 78. He worked as editor of Deshabhimani magazine for the last 10 years. He was under treatment for the last two months for kidney-related diseases. His full name is IV Bhuvana Das. He was born on July 7,1932 at Mokeri, Thalassery. He began his career as teacher and later acted as joint secretery of Kerala Grandhasala Sangham, control board member, secretary of Kerala State library counsel and secretary of Sahithya Akademi.
