The Cardinal’s body, which is kept at Little Flower Hospital, will be brought to Angamaly Basilica church on Saturday and the public can pay their respects from 7.30 am to 9 am.
Later, the body will be brought to St. Thomas Mount in Kakkanad. After the holy mass, the body will be brought to the Archbishop House and kept at St Mary’s Basilica from 2.30 pm to 1.45 pm on Sunday.
The funeral will begin with a holy mass and the body will be carried in a procession from the basilica to Menaka junction and back to the church where a condolence meeting will be held. The public will be able to offer their tributes till the funeral rites are completed by 6.30 pm.
The circular sent by the Archdiocese vicar general, Bishop Thomas Chakyath to all churches under the archdiocese says that they can cancel the evening mass on Sunday, and give a heartfelt farewell to the Cardinal.
