Dr M Abdul Salam, head of Agronomy department of Kerala Agricultural University, will be appointed as the vice chancellor of Calicut University.
The committee appointed to select VC has forwarded three names in the panel including that of Dr Salam. The other two are Dr Jameela Begum from Institute of English, Kerala varsity and Dr Pasha. The committee consisted of chief secretary P Prabhakaran, who is the representative of the Governor, UGC representative Iqbal Hasnain and senate representative Ashiq.
