India's woman long jumper Mayookha Johny finished ninth in World Athletics Championships on Sunday. Mayookha, who was the third Indian ever to qualify for the final of an individual event, registered her best, 6.37 metres, in the first leap. Her remaining two jumps were 6.31 and 62.6 metres. The 23-year-old's efforts in the final was way behind her performance in the qualification where she leapt to 6.53 meters. Read more
