Prof M K Sanu bags Padmaprabha Literary Award 2011

Renowned Malayalam writer and literary critic Prof M K Sanu has been chosen for this year's Padmaprabha Literary Award.The award, instituted by Kalpetta-based Padmaprabha Memorial Trust, carries a prize money of Rs 55,000, a memento and a citation, trust Chairman M P Veerendrakumar said in a release here.A three-member judging panel headed by Dr Punathil Kunhabdulla, Dr S Saradakutty and Rafeeq Ahamed, selected Prof Sanu for the award.
The contribution made by Sanu to the Malayalam literary and teaching field is an investment for the cultural Kerala, the judging panel opined.

Prof M K Sanu 
He born on 1929 in Alappuzha.On the way of his profession,he worked as a college professor,editor of a magazine and femiliar as a parlamentarian.
He also wrote the autobiographies of Sree Narayana Guru, Sahodaran Ayyappan and PK Balakrishnan. Another noted book is `Changampuzha Krishnapillai: Nakshathrangalude Snehabhajanam’ which deeply analyses the personal and poetic life of Changampuzha.
