Eminent Malayalam writer and literary critic Prof M K Sanu achieved this year’s Kendra Sahitya Akademi award. The biography of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer titled as ‘Basheer: Ekantha Veedhiyile Avadhoothan’ penned by Sanu won him the award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
