Veteran Malayalam film actor Surendranath Thilakan passed away. He was 77.
Surendranatha Thilakan was born and brought up in Ayroor in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, India. He was an Indian film and stage actor who has starred in over 200 Malayalam films. He won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1988. He won state awards for best actor thrice. The actor was awarded the 'Padmashree' in 2009. 'Perumthachan', 'Yavanika', 'Kireedam', 'Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu', 'Moonnampakkam', 'Kilukkam' and 'Indian Rupee' are some of Thilakan's notable films. 'Ustad Hotel' is his last released film.
