Indian-American Arun M Kumar nominated by Obama to top govt post


Indian-American Arun M Kumar has been appointed to a key administration post by President Barack Obama, giving him charge of international trade at a crucial juncture when the US is looking to increase its exports.
Arun M Kumar, till recently a partner and member of the board of directors of the consultancy firm KPMG, was appointed by Obama as Assistant Secretary and General Director of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, International Trade Administration in the Department of Commerce, yesterday. 
U.S. President Barack Obama has named yet another Indian-American, Kerala University physics graduate Arun M Kumar, to lead the U.S. Department of Commerce's trade promotion arm charged with helping U.S. companies succeed in international markets.
